This Privacy Policy explains how SimpMix ("SimpMix", "we", "us") handles your information. SimpMix is a music-making app for playing drums and piano, recording ideas, jamming over songs and exporting mixes. In plain terms: SimpMix is built to keep your data on your device, and this page describes exactly what that means.
1 Information we collect
We do not collect any personal information. SimpMix has no sign-up or login, does not ask for your name, email, phone number, or location, and does not include third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
We do not collect device identifiers, advertising IDs, usage statistics, or crash reports through the app.
2 Your creations & settings
The beats, songs, recordings and app preferences you make are stored locally on your device only. We have no access to them and they are never sent to us or any third party.
3 Files you import
When you add a backing track to jam over, SimpMix reads the audio or video file you choose through your device's file picker. That file is used only to play and mix it on your device. It is not uploaded, copied to a server, or shared with anyone.
4 Files you export
When you export a mix, SimpMix creates an audio (.m4a) or video (.mp4) file. You decide what happens to it:
- Save to file — you pick the destination through your device's system save dialog.
- Share — you choose which app to share it with using your device's share sheet.
SimpMix does not upload exports anywhere on its own; the destination is always your choice.
5 Permissions
SimpMix does not request sensitive or dangerous permissions for its core features. Access to your media happens only through the system file picker, one file at a time, and only when you actively choose to import or save a file. You can revoke any access your operating system grants at any time in your device settings.
6 Internet & network
SimpMix is designed to work fully offline and does not connect to the internet on its own to send or receive your data. The only time an external connection happens is when you tap a link that opens another app (see the next section).
7 Links to other services
Some buttons hand off to other apps or services:
- Rate App opens the app's page on Google Play.
- Share opens your device's share sheet.
- Privacy Policy opens this page in your browser.
Once you leave SimpMix, the service you open (for example Google Play or your browser) is governed by its own privacy policy, not ours.
8 Purchases
SimpMix does not process payments directly and never sees your payment details. If any optional in-app purchase is offered, it is handled entirely by the app store (such as Google Play), which processes the transaction under its own terms and privacy policy.
9 Children's privacy
Because SimpMix collects no personal information, it is suitable for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has somehow provided us personal information, please contact us and we will address it — although, by design, there is no personal data for us to hold.
10 Data security
Since your SimpMix content stays on your device and is never transmitted to us, there is no server-side database of your data to breach. The best way to protect your creations is to secure your device (screen lock, encryption and backups). We recommend keeping a backup of any exports that matter to you.
11 Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example, if we add new features. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be reflected here, and your continued use of SimpMix after an update means you accept the revised policy.
